Sponsor | Flackrum | Apr 5, 2006 11:06pm | Is this a party-oriented group, or an open forum for Constitutional debate and discussion?
The lack of clarity resides at least partly in the definition of the group name, Constitutionalists.
A Constitutionalist means "an advocate of constitutional government", however, the Constitution Party uses this term for its members as well, which further defines it as advocating their party's platform.
The group description also lacks clarity in defining the group intent.
Thank you for your time. |

The latest posts in the thread on Church and State are good examples of Constitutional interpretation, and IMO are what we intended the group to provide. Even my fellow-conspiracy buff Cybe can provide good, albeit a bit "different", material for discussion.
As individuals, we can state our political preferences, including individual politicians and parties. But we are unaffiliated with any single party. Some of us in this group believe in most of what some parties' platforms say that they stand for, such as the aforemention Constitution Party. But that is not to say this is a group only for adherents of that specific party. Thanks again for the question. |
